Boratto Milano

For several decades the Boratto family has been involved in the business of leather in Milano, Italy. Consistently seeking out the most skillful craftsmen the region had to offer. In the late seventies, the latest generation of Boratto’s crossed the ocean to relocate to the United States to pursue other ventures.

The youngest son, a natural sophisticate at a very early age, was instinctively drawn to exotic leathers and had personal accessories handcrafted during the families annual summer trips to Milano.

Those yearly visits back home, were the start of rekindling generational family relationships of artisans that personally knew his grandparents dating back to World War II. They generously walked him through the artisanal world of leather as if he was their own grandson. After relocating back to Milano, for good, he found himself making daily visits to these artisans that were quickly becoming an anomaly. He spent hours listening to wondrous stories of his legendary grandfathers passion for impeccable quality and business savvy. Hearing these delightful stories, was the precise inspiration he needed to launch Boratto Milano.

As the saying goes “the proof is in the pudding”. We at Boratto strive to preserve the Italian tradition of immaculate craftsmanship that is world renowned, yet keeping current and stylish.
